THE SYSTEM WORKS...........

Part of letter dated 14th December 2005 from new member Freddie Fern in Lowstoft who served with REME Inspectorate 2 base workshops T.E.K.
--------------------------------------------------------
Not long after joining the SVA imagine my surprise at receiveing a phone call from Sapper Dave informing me that he had contact from an old friend of mine who had served with me in Tel El Kebir in the 50's
I wasted no time in phoning my old friend , as a result we are back in touch and hope to meet up next year.
When I think of the years I've been trying to find comrades I served with.
I have not had any luck  on "Teletext"  or "Service Pals"  yet within a few months of joining the SVA it's happened.
You have realy made a happy Christmas for me.
So once again thanks for your help in catching up with my old pal.
Keep up the good work
Freddy Fern

Hi Dave
A success for the website. For some time I have been trying to locate the family of a mate of mine who was killed in Egypt. A half brother of his was also seeking information at the same time. He came across an article that mentioned the S.V.A., found our website and was directed to John Mitchell as somebody that might be able to help. He asked John if he had any information on a John Norman. John contacted me and gave me a contact number and we have spoken. This shows the strength of having a well run website. Thankyou Dave for helping to bring my quest to a happy coclusion.

Regards   John
